There’s alot that one could say about these two events but the headline, “Ambassador Stevens Killed, Obama Raises $181 Million In September”, pretty much says it all. Kind of ironic isn’t it? While Obama was out raising millions for his reelection, he was derelect in his duty to protect our Ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens and three others. After trying to blame the attack on the embassy on a video, the story gradually crept out that it was a planned attack on Sept. 11th., the anniversary of 9/11/2001.
It’s been said that the marines stationed at the embassy did not have weapons. If not, why not? I’ve also heard they had weapons but not bullets. If not, why not? Am I to conclude that shipping guns to Mexican Drug Cartels is Okay but properly arming soldiers so they may protect American Citizens Employed by the American Embassy is Not Okay?
It finally came out that the White House had advanced intelligence that something was going to happen. If so, why not beef up protection at the embassy? I don’t get it. Even without advanced warning, if I were in charge, when Sept. 11th approached, I would have my prtotection in place. In this part of the world this should be a “No Brainer.” Perhaps “No Brains” explains it. I’d hate to think the President failed to protect Ambassador Stevens, the three others that died and all of the other employees of the American Embassy in Libya…on purpose.

UPDATE: 10/10/12 6:42 AM No Protests All was quiet outside the U.S. Consulate as evening fell on Benghazi and President Barack Obama’s envoy to Libya was retiring after a day of diplomatic meetings. The situation was calm, the officials said, and there were no protests. Five U.S. agents and four local militiamen were providing security.
President Obama does deserve congratulations for his ability to raise money for his campaign. This is what the President does best. It’s obvious he can’t balance a budget (Infact, There Has Not Been A Budget In Over 3 Years….Nice!) and his ability to create jobs in any meaningful number is seriously lacking.
It’s apparent that the campaign is enjoying their September windfall. Obama campaign manager, Jim Messina, couldn’t wait to get the word out to Obama supporters in an email. “Day in and day out, what gives the President confidence and inspiration is knowing that you have his back — that matters,” said Messina. “We’re all going to do the best we can over next 31 days to honor that support.”
It’s nice that President Obama is confident and inspired knowing that his supporters have his back. I wonder how Ambassador Stevens felt about the President having his back?
