Bin Laden Meets His Demise

It’s great that Osama Bin Laden has met his demise.  A huge debt of gratitude is in deed in order for all those American Servicemen and women who have sacraficed so much in pursuit of the worlds foremost terrorist.  Far too many paid the ultimate sacrafice.  Not only have the servicemen and women sacraficed, but so have their families.  I can’t imagine how stressful it must be to worry each and everyday about the safety of their loved one.  Thank You to all!

To the family members and friends of those who were so tragically taken from you on 9-11, our thoughts and prayers are still with you.  Although it won’t bring your loved ones back, at last you have some justice.  There are other terrorists still awaiting trial.  Hopefully their trials will begin and perhaps bring a bit more closeure to your loss.

The capture or death of Bin Laden has been “Job One.”  Now that its been acheived what happens?  Has Al-Qaeda been dealt the death blow or will they retaliate with abandon?  Time will tell.  With the killing of Bin Laden, it’s possible that Al-Qaeda may have suffered a financial hit.  As I understand it Bin Laden was personally wealthy.  With his loss it’s also possible that financing may be harder to obtain.  Wealthy donors may be less willing to donate money to the cause until they feel it will be used effectively.

As I watch people celebrate in Times Square and around the White House tonite, I share their excitement but in a nervous sort of way.  Being the pessimist that I am, I worry that too much celebration may result in antagonizing Al-Qaeda and their sympathizers.  Understand, that as I write this around 1 a.m. Eastern time, that I don’t believe there is too much celebration at the moment,  but as more Americans learn of Bin Landens death later today that could be the case.

Osama Bin Ladens death is a milestone in the war on terror that we needed to acheive….It’s been accomplished!  We must however,  remain Vigilant.

God Bless America!  Land Of The Free….Home Of The Brave!
